Our client is looking for a reliable and organised part-time Warehouse Specialist to join their team in Upper Caldecote. This is a hands-on warehouse role where you will be responsible for the day-to-day warehouse activities, from receiving and checking goods through to picking, packing and despatching orders accurately and on time. You will maintain accurate stock and Sage records, follow agreed quality procedures, and keep the warehouse safe, clean and organised.
You will also be expected to organise your own daily workload and priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive deliveries and check quantities, product references and condition against paperwork.
- Record goods received and maintain accurate stock records using Sage.
- Pick, pack and prepare orders for despatch, ensuring goods are correctly labelled and packaged.
- Complete goods-in and goods-out paperwork accurately.
- Update Sage with stock and despatch information.
- Coordinate collections and deliveries with carriers.
- Provide customers with shipment and tracking information when required.
- Report shortages, damaged goods, stock discrepancies or delivery issues.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe warehouse.
- Follow company quality and health & safety procedures.
About You
We are looking for someone with previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment, ideally covering goods-in, stock control, picking, packing and despatch.
You will also have:
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Good computer skills, including email and basic Excel.
- Good communication skills and confidence dealing with colleagues, carriers, suppliers and customers.
- A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to manage changing priorities.
- The confidence to coordinate and guide colleagues when required ( occasional agency workers)

Pay rate: £13.50
Hours: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (20 hrs a week, Monday to Friday)
Holiday entitlement: 20 days plus bank holidays (pro rata, based on 4-hour working days).
