We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative holding either a Counterbalance or Reach Forklift licence. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the efficient management of warehouse operations, ensuring the safe and accurate handling of goods. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge to contribute to a dynamic logistics team. The role involves operating forklift trucks, managing stock movements, and supporting overall warehouse functions in a fast-paced environment. This is a temporary role booked on a week by week basis .

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Counterbalance or Reach forklift trucks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
• Assist with the organisation and management of stock using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring items are handled with care and accuracy.
• Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on forklift equipment as required.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including documentation and inventory updates.
• Handle materials efficiently, ensuring correct storage and placement according to safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Assist with mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment when necessary.

Skills

• Valid Counterbalance or Reach forklift licence recognised by relevant authorities.
• Proven experience in warehouse operations, including materials handling and stock management.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory control.
• Mechanical aptitude with basic repair skills for warehouse equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail in shipping & receiving processes.
• Basic mathematical skills for inventory counting and documentation accuracy.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse environments. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to utilise their forklift licences within a well-organised warehouse setting, contributing to smooth logistics operations while maintaining high safety standards.
