We are looking to recruit a permanent Stores Operative/Delivery Driver preferably with an interest in engineering/fabrication or within the manufacturing sector for our client based near Sandy. Own transport is required due to the location.

You will carry out stores activities, deliver and collect to/from customers and suppliers, support the factory with basic machine operations when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day to day operation of the company stores facility including a regular stock check.
• Booking in, unloading deliveries and quality checking.
• Checking despatch orders, completing paperwork in line with company standards.
• Delivering and collecting goods to/from customers and suppliers using the company vehicle (Ford Ranger) and trailer, including occasional overnight stays.
• General forklift duties as required.
• Additional tasks supporting factory operations, such as machine operation and material handling.
• Ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with the QA system.
• Attend training where appropriate to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
• Act in a cooperative and collaborative manner with other colleagues.
• Maintaining a safe working environment.

Essential Skills:

• Must have a full UK driving licence for a minimum of 2 years with no more than 6 points
• Full right to work in the UK
• Basic IT literacy: ensuring updates are made on the in-house system
• Good attention to detail.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both as part of a team and independently
• Comfortable with manual handling and loading/unloading (some heavy lifting involved)

Desirable Skills:

• Ability and licence to drive with a trailer
• Experience operating a Counterbalance forklift truck (refresher licence can be arranged for the right applicant)

Working hours: 07.30 – 16.45 Mon to Thurs, 07.30 – 12.30 Fri (flexibility with hours to suit the company requirements)
