We’re seeking a Materials Controller / Internal Sales Coordinator to join our clients team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to learn, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to grow within a well-established business. Our client supplies engineering products to leading manufacturers across the UK, including those in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

This is a varied and hands-on position combining materials control, purchasing, internal sales, and customer service. You’ll be responsible for buying stock, processing customer orders, and resolving day-to-day supply issues to ensure smooth operations. Full training will be provided—including time spent in the warehouse—to help you build product knowledge and gain practical, hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders with suppliers
• Handle incoming sales orders and respond to customer enquiries
• Support internal sales and upsell where appropriate
• Build strong relationships with clients via phone and email
• Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve supply issues
• Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office and the internal CRM system

Skills

• Proactive, with a “get up and go” mindset
• A confident communicator and team player
• Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
• Customer-focused with a problem-solving attitude
• Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience in purchasing, order processing, sales support, or stock control is desirable—but not essential. The right attitude and willingness to learn are key!

Salary: £28,000–£35,000 (DOE) + Discretionary Bonus (after 6–9 months)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (37.5 hours/week, 1-hour lunch break) Holidays: 23 days + bank holidays
