Our client is seeking to recruit a Sewing Machinist/Assembler on a Temporary to Permanent basis.
Job Role:
- Operating Industrial sewing machines to stitch and assemble fabric components
- Identifying and addressing potential issues in the sewing process
- Conducting quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications
- Ensuring compliance with sewing techniques and industry standards
- Reading and interpreting sewing instructions and garment specifications
- Measuring and cutting fabrics according to patterns and project requirements
- Assembling and finishing garments or fabric products
- Maintaining and troubleshooting sewing machines for optimal performance
- Participating in training programs to stay updated on sewing techniques and industry advancements.
Requirements:
- Experience in sewing or a related field
- Proficiency in operating sewing machines to create garments or textile products
- Attention to detail for precise stitching and finishing
- Ability to interpret and follow sewing patterns and specifications
- Knowledge of different fabrics and their properties
- Adherence to quality standards in garment production
- Skill in troubleshooting and maintaining sewing machines
Assembly
- To assemble small items that requires dexterity
- Use of other machines to assemble various products
- Work with others on the production line to assemble the finished products
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 08:30 -16:30 hours. Friday 08:30 - 15:00 hours
