We are recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a well-established company in Shefford offering permanent positions and opportunities for long-term career development.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous warehouse experience and a valid forklift truck licence who enjoys hands-on work and is looking for a stable, permanent position.

Our client is holding a Recruitment Day, giving candidates the opportunity to meet the team, learn more about the role and potentially receive a job offer on the day. Successful candidates could start in early November.

Key Responsibilities

• Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Checking incoming goods for damage or missing items.
• Moving, organising and storing stock in the correct locations.
• Operating forklift trucks and other lifting equipment safely.
• Completing and maintaining accurate warehouse paperwork.
• Handling and moving materials safely.
• Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and free from hazards.
• Following Health & Safety procedures.
• Working as part of a team to meet daily targets.

What We're Looking For

• Valid Reach and/or Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence – essential.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Happy to work outdoors in different weather conditions.
• Basic IT skills and good attention to detail.
• Good communication and numeracy skills.
• Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Flexible and willing to work overtime when required.
• Full valid driving licence.

Salary: £26,719 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week; 30 min unpaid break
Shifts: Rotating early and late shifts (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm)
