Primary Teacher - Reception/Key Stage 1

Required for September 2026

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality teaching that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive.

We are seeking a full time Primary Teacher who:

•       hold qualified teacher status (QTS) or is working towards it
•       has high expectations of the pupils they teach and how they can maximise their learning
•       is committed to providing the best opportunities for all pupils
•       has a genuine passion and enthusiasm and does not want to settle for second best
•       is reflective about all aspects of their own practice and always looking for ways to develop professionally

Here at Biggleswade Academy, we teach children from Reception to Year 6.  All of our teachers provide high quality learning experiences for our pupils and help us develop a truly 21st Century Curriculum at a school where high standards and expectations are a must.

Hours                  -          Full Time (suitable for ECT’s)

Contract type      -          Permanent

Salary                  -         MPS/UPS
